Effective 19 October 2026
Zyz doesn't collect any data. There's no account, no analytics, no tracking and no server of mine. I can't see your lists, and I don't want to.
Your lists
What you put in Zyz is stored on your devices and synced through your private iCloud database. Files you share into Zyz are kept in Zyz's folder in your iCloud Drive. Both are tied to your Apple Account, and I can't see them. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
On-device suggestions
On an iPhone or Mac with Apple Intelligence, Zyz picks an icon and colour for a new or renamed project from its title. That runs entirely on your device, and the title never leaves it. You can change the pick, or turn it off in Settings (Suggest project icons with Apple Intelligence).
Agents and the command line
The Mac's command-line tool and MCP server run locally and read the same data as the app. If you connect an agent such as Claude, what it does with your data is between you and that agent's provider.
Backups
If you choose a backup folder on your Mac, Zyz writes a copy of your data there, and nowhere else. Where it goes from there (Time Machine, a synced drive) is up to you.
Deleting your data
Your lists live only on your devices and in your iCloud. To delete them, delete Zyz from each device, then remove Zyz's data from iCloud storage in your Apple Account settings. Things you move to the Trash stay there for 30 days, or until you empty it. I hold no copy, so there's nothing on my side to delete.
